You are so lucky! That is one of the saddest things about living in my town in particular. I was asking my piano student if there were any kids in her class who spoke Spanish and she said she didn’t know of anyone. It sounds like you live in the coolest place. To answer Amy’s question: After WWII in preperation for the space age, the Alabamaians courted German scientists and convinced them to come to Alabama and help create what is now the US space program. Warner Van Braun was the head German guy and came over with his team (thus we have the “Van Braun” center in downtown Huntsville where you can go and see concerts etc)…and thus the German influence. There is also Siemens here (a large German company that designs and produces automobile parts).

Sounds almost like Hawaii, minus the beach!

Saturday

We had a great Saturday just hanging out together. Grant had fun at a park near Mark’s work…he couldn’t sit still long enough for me to take a picture!
