Catching Up

Aloha! When Mark and I went to Hawaii last September, we toured the Dole pineapple plantation and learned that a pineapple on the porch of your home means, hospitality. Mark mentioned how when we moved into our new house he wanted a pineapple on our porch. I thought, how silly, it would rot for sure!…

What a wonderful idea! I wish I could think of something so thoughtful for Aaron’s b’day coming up. I’m fresh out.

  • Nancy Clark

Great idea, great pineapples, great photos!

  • Korean Hales

Those pineapples look simply amazing on your porch!

  • Amy

Hey, I happened to know that piece of trivia and always thought that would be a cool thing. And it is! Those are very cool pineapples. Now in Canada a red porch means vacancy and a green porch means you have a daughter available to wed. So make sure you don’t paint your concrete porch green. Just FYI 🙂

I love the pineapples. Sentimental gifts are the best!!!

Keeping It Real

Every child is different. I don’t know who I heard this more from, my mom or my education classes. I don’t have much to complain about, Grant has always been an easy child with of course “his moments” like every child has. I have learned though with my son there are periods or “phases” as…

Neighbors, Cookies, Trucks & Stuff

There is a new family from church that moved in up the street. Grant and I took them some cookies earlier this week. When we arrived they were out playing with the neighbors little car…Grant didn’t want to come home after that! This week has seemed long to me already. Maybe it’s because I’m looking…

Looks like I’m lucky number 10! How poetic. Now its your turn to find the prize you deserve. Please go take a look in the bathroom reserve.

How neat that Mark did a scavenger hunt- I noticed his clue above. Very creative! A friend of mine here in Philly had that test/score bit on her blog. To take it just go to my blog, click on the image and it will take you to the site. It’s fun to see what they think.

Hope you had a great night!

  • Ditto Family

I’ve been gone for a few days–and I am loving my catch up time on your blog. Boy did this picture collage bring lots of smiles to my face. I love that second picture of you–your hair looks so cute. It’s amazing how ten years can just fly by but at the same time you think about all the growing that has happened during that time. Good thing we have an eternity to keep the lovin’ coming!!

Jana and I were just discussing how you can take something so everyday, simple and ordinary and really make it ART. I love the first picture of the candles!!! Tell Mark that he’s got quite a few candles on that cake :), kidding :)!

    Love,

    Leslie
