This & That | Friday!
Macros
I have felt a disconnect from macros lately. Something I hope to revisit and remedy over the summer…

Playdates
We’ve had some friends over a few days…Grace’s little friend Bella…they are besties.
Rocks
Alabama’s dirt has rocks, lots of them. They’re not pretty or anything special, but lately Grant and Grace have been collecting them.
Grant
Grant’s last day as a second grader is Tuesday! He’s had a great year, his teacher had this to say about him: Grant is a great student! He is well-mannered and has been a pleasure to have in our class. He works great with others and is a sweet student! I love his sense of humor and enthusiasm for learning! We are proud of the student and boy he is. He is ready for summer, he’ll be doing golf lessons and Cub Scout Day camp with a whole lot of swimming whenever he can. I love this picture of him; his curl on his forehead, his slight smile and blue eyes.
Grace
Gracie Girl will be happy when she realizes Grant is home all the time. She’s been a lot of fun lately and seems to have grown up overnight in some ways. But something not so grown up-the other night she fell asleep in my arms in the rocker!…that never happens, ever. I loved it.
Play
You know it’s a good day of playing when you see this…
Pool is Cool
I’m so happy the kids love the pool and swimming. Hot summers with a neighborhood pool was something I didn’t grow up with, so it’s always been kind of special and the novelty is still there-even after four years.
Grant hurt is toe pretty bad on his scooter up to the pool this day…don’t worry, he got over it.
An Afternoon…with us.
Wait for Grant to get home from school….ride scooters out front, popsicle break, sidewalk chalk, outfit change for Grant, red crystal light drink for Grace (see her nose), ending up in the backyard.
Happy Friday! What are your fun plans for the long weekend? Mark and Grant are going on a Father-Son campout tonight and I foresee a picnic in the plans for Monday! Have a great one!!
Dawn - Yep, our fellas went camping too. Us gals had some fun of our own. Monday will find us on the lake all.day.long hopefully AVOIDING the first sunburns of summer. Can’t wait for Monday!
Amy - It looks like your children have such an idyllic childhood. I also can’t wait for John to be done with school. Love, love your macros.
nadine - love everything about this post!
