We have found somewhat of a solution to part of Grace’s obsession of how clothes feel on her…knee highs. We can now avoid most tights and the tantrums that come with. Now to find them in other colors besides white….or even patterned! Ironically just as it’s feeling like winter and I’m insisting on socks, tights and coats we are expected to have a high of seventy degrees tomorrow here in AL. Sigh.

Gracie and I have been baking nonstop the past two days…she’s been quite the little helper. She took a ride in her new and improved carseat (another attempt to diminish tantrums thrown by getting into the car, her old seat was more of an infant seat, we thought a bigger booster – type would be more comfy) to deliver the goods and by the end she insisted she didn’t like it because it has brown on it. Sigh.

We love our Gracie Girl!

Dawn - I feel your pain. Ty is a struggle because he is so nitpicky about everything he wears… his socks never ‘feel right’ in his shoes, his waist band never ‘feels right’ on any of his pants, and his jackets/coats have to have the perfect length sleeves are he flips. Because he is older, I have a mommy response that I’m sure he will forever joke about when he is grown…”Use YOUR allowance to buy a new ‘insert here whatever doesn’t FEEL right at that given moment’ then!” Thankfully for me, he is more of a penny pincher that a clothes critic, snicker!
quincy - Brilliant Gracie! What a precious signature! I bet there were some pretty lucky recipients of Greenfield treats tonight!
I am having my own clothing woes with Susie. She has a favorite outfit, and she refuses new clothing. OH my.
Laura Bunker - Girls! I tell you we have to pick out clothes (and try them on) the night before. It’s just easier. Crazy.
emily a - Knee highs are a great idea. I’ve gone to wearing thigh highs myself because I don’t like the waistband on tights either. I’ve found cute knee highs for Sage at TJ Maxx. Do you have that there? I’ve gotten really cute prints (polka dots, stripes) there. Sometimes Target has them but not a huge variety. There are cute online sites if you are interested.
Amy - I’ve seen tons of girls printed knee-highs at Fred Meyer — maybe your mom can send her some. I have heard that sensory issues are very frustrating. Good for you, trying to find solutions! It will get better, I’m sure. I’m just about to start baking tonight. Still haven’t decided what I’m doing.
Karen - I love the knee highs. Too fun. Plus her name is adorable. She’s just a doll.
Sara - Grace cracks me up. Girls…they are so similar in so many ways. I’m a knee high girl too!
