Little did this Oregonian think she'd find herself living in the south, 11 years and counting, raising her family, taking family pictures, and loving it!
My main focus is on families and children; I enjoy capturing relaxed lifestyle portraits and am located in Madison, Alabama.
I started photography in my high school yearbook class, back in the day of film. I liked taking photography as well as many art classes. I continued to enjoy taking pictures and did a few senior sessions and weddings during college. I majored in elementary education with an emphasis in art (oil painting). I took a break from photogrphay while I taught school in Oregon for five years. It wasn't until I moved to Alabama when I got my first DSLR camera and started a blog to keep connected with my family and friends back home. Taking too many pictures of my son (is that possible!?) quickly led photography to become my artistic outlet and bloomed into a little business. One of my favorite things has been watching families grow, many of whom have become friends. There's a special place in my heart for the families I have photographed year after year.
As well as taking pictures of cute faces, I enjoy traveling, flowers, the outdoors, chocolate cake, the gentleness of the south and most of all my husband Mark and two children Grant and Grace.
